While Liverpool had a bad day on the road at Stoke, the Mizzou Tigers returned To The Zou and extended their unbeaten home season to 6-0 at Faurot Field. After back-to-back defeats at Nebraskas and Texas Tech, the Tigers returned to winning ways against the Kansas State Wildcats, winning 38-28.
A big performance from QB Blaine Gabbert and some big defense saw Missouri outgun the Wildcats. Those big hits lead to three Kansas fumbles which saw them squander a TD and then concede 17 straight points, handing the game to Missouri.
Jacquies Smith scored on a 53-yard fumble return in the third quarter after Aldon Smith leveled Kansas QB Coffman with a sack. In his own words...
